Periodic Assessment

Periodic Assessment UPDATE for 2011-2012

As a result of feedback during the 2010-2011 school year,  some of the periodic assessments have been revised.  Therefore schools will only receive their Periodic Assessment #1 booklets in September.  Periodic Assessments 2 and 3 will be delivered several weeks later, most likely late October, early November.

Memorandums and Reference Guides

The periodic assessments are used in monitoring student progress as well as part of the triangulated data set (CST, Periodic Assessment and MAZE)  to assist in designing a program that best meets the needs of the student.

The following are the Reference Guides and Memorandums the support the Periodic Assessments

  • REF-5516---Procedural Guidelines for Administering Periodic Assessments for Secondary Schools, Grades 6-12, for English/Language Arts, History/Social Science, Mathematics and Science.
  • MEM-5517.2---2011-2012 District Comprehensive Assessment Program assessment schedule, Secondary Schools, Grades 6-12
